Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Hosts 40 Lap – $1200 to Win GRIT Sportsman Series This Friday Night Along With Complete Program

The regular season may be over at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park,  but there is still some great racing remaining including this Friday night, September 5^th as the GRIT Sportsman Series headlines an impressive night of racing at the Lafargeville, New York half mile. Also on the schedule is a 25 lap, $600 to win Pro Stock/Street Stock Challenge, a $200 to win event for the Thunder Stocks and $300 first place prize on the line for the Mod Lite Division plus the Mod Lite makeup feature from May 9^th.

Friday night’s event will also be part of the Thunder in the 1000 Islands Series presented by Deline’s Auto Body and VP Race Fuels.  The program will be sponsored by Ferris Mowers, Tug Edge, Home Deli and Subs and Ben Shoen’s Home Improvements.  The GRIT Racing Sportsman Series will surely bring in a lot of invaders, but local favorites Josh VanBrocklin, Taylor Caprara and a host of others will be looking to defend their home track.

General Admission for Friday night is only $12 for adults.  Ages 13-15 will be admitted for $5.  As always, children 12 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult.  Military members are half price.  Pit Gates open at 5:15PM, Grandstand area opens at 6PM.  Racing starts at 7:30PM.

Can Am will finish up their 2014 season on Saturday, September 13^th as the GRIT Sportsman Series makes another stop at Can Am.  The entire schedule will look similar, with the addition of a Cheney Tire 30 lap Enduro paying $500 to win and 100 for second place.
