On Friday, August 8th, 2014 Jack Meeks won his second feature of the season at Can Am and had his motor pulled for further evaluation. It was determined that Meeks motor was found not to meet specs and will be penalized.
Meeks will lose all points earned to date as well as forfeit any prize money won on Friday, August 8th, 2014. He will also be suspended for the remaining regular track points events this season.
“Once again we are trying to maintain a level playing field for all of our competitors”, says track GM Alana Moncrieff. “We told everyone at the start of the season that we would be pulling motors for inspection and we have done that and will continue to do it when we feel it necessary”.
