VP Announces Spec Fuels For DIRTcar Racing In 2010 “D” brand fuels introduced for all classes this season Newark, DE – March 2, 2010 - From Tom Skibinski , Super DIRTcar Series PR Director VP Racing Fuels, in conjunction with officials from the World Racing Group, DIRTcar Northeast Region and the Super DIRTcar Series, today announced the introduction of their exclusive “D” brand spec fuels for mandatory use by all Super DIRTcar teams effective April 1, 2010. “We had great success implementing the C12, VP110 and Motorsport 109 spec fuels in the U.S. and Canada last year,” said Jim Kelly, Regional Manager for VP. “Yet in an effort to eliminate the use of mixed or non-compliant fuels and to better track sales which will continue to ensure spec fuel purchase and use, in addition to better managing the year-end track and series awards, together we developed this program for the new season.” Effective April 1, Super DIRTCar will require the exclusive use of VP’s D12 fuel for the Big-Block Modifieds, the exclusive use of D12, D110 or D109 unleaded for the 358-Modifieds, and the exclusive use of D98 for Sportsman and Pro Stock teams. Mixing or blending of these or other products will not be permitted nor will use of pump gas. “Mixing fuels, even if mixing VP spec fuels, creates an issue at inspection. Using pump gas can also complicate fuel inspection as the chemical composition and appearance of pump gas varies from county to county, state to state, and even between pump gas available in the U.S. vs Canada ,” noted Joe Skotnicki, Competition Administrator for World Racing Group and Director of Series and Sanctions for DIRTcar Northeast. “The implementation of specified fuel products makes inspection efficient, easier to track and speeds up the process for the competitor.” The “D” fuels are the exact same chemical composition of VP’s “C” or “Motorsport” formulas but to enhance pre-race inspection and post-race analysis, VP has added specific dye colors and chemical agents to ensure the exclusive use of the spec fuels. For performance and tuning, D12 and D110 are exactly the same in chemical composition as C12 and VP110. D109 is the same as Motorsport 109 unleaded, with D98 the same as Motorsport 98. These fuels are only produced by VP in Newark , Delaware . “D98 was first introduced to Sportsman Modifieds and Pro Stocks at Super DIRT Week in Syracuse last Fall and was a tremendous success in performance and racer satisfaction,” remarked Bob Dini, Tech nical Director for DIRTcar Northeast and the Super DIRTCar Series. “We gave everyone in those divisions one fuel to use which put everyone on the same page as far as cost and fuel performance. The engines performed well and many racers thanked us for leveling the playing field. D98 will be mandatory at all tracks for Sportsman and Pro Stocks without exception.” To further enhance the tech inspection process and management of the fuel program, the new “D” fuels will be available only from VP designated trackside vendors and specified VP dealers, or direct from VP’s facility in Newark , Del. Proof of purchase from one of these specified outlets, along with display of VP 5x7” decals on all race cars and the 3x4” VP Racing Fuels logo on driver uniforms will be required during 2010 as specified in the DIRTcar rulebook. “We handed out a significant amount of fuel certificates at the banquet last year,” Kelly added. “The participating tracks’ 1st, 10th and 12th-place points finishers who qualified for their posted VP awards will be receiving their certificates by mail just in time to acquire the new ‘D’ fuels for the upcoming season.” Questions about the spec fuel program can be directed to VP’s Jim Kelly at 302/368.1500; VP Tech ’s Fred Turza at 302/521.1767; World Racing Group’s Joe Skotnicki at 704/796-4566; or DIRTcar NE ’s Bob Dini at 845/358.5049. Mike Durham and Bryan Moffatt take Can Am Enduro Victories Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design February
28, 2010 While many people
stayed home to watch the NASCAR race, or the Olympic men’s hockey
showdown between Canada and the USA, a few hundred diehard race fans and
competitors converged at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park for the
second Enduro race of 2010. The track was a
muddy mess, but that just added some excitement to the ever-popular
Enduro. 47 cars took the
green flag, which was delayed as cars were getting stuck on the track,
while trying to line up for the initial green flag.
Attrition played a factor, as several motors blew, cars
overheated or became stuck in mud.
The winner of the Hangover Enduro held back on January 2nd,
Mike Durham, proved to be the last man standing, as he was the last car
running. Durham picked up
$400 for his efforts, while Paul Backus and Joey Foster picked up $200
and $100 respectively. After a short delay
to clear the track, and determine who was available for the second race,
the cars were lined back up for round two.
This time, however, the main track was shut down, and the infield
was used for the second race, after several passes with the plow truck. This certainly added to show, as cars were able to maneuver
through the makeshift infield track a lot easier then the bigger track. Only 15 cars were
able to continue on for round too, and at the conclusion it was the
Cheney Tire sponsored car driven by Bryan Moffatt that picked up the
checkered flag, and earning the $400 winner’s share.
Ray Bancroft picked up the $200 runner-up prize and Zak Petrie
claimed $100 for his third place efforts. Track owner Tiger
Chapman praised the drivers and fans for their patience while they
worked out the issues with the track.
“Thank
you for baring with us. I think we all knew what we had before we even
started, but the show went on. I
said it many times today, all of you Enduro guys are some of the best
racers that we have. After all that happened today, I did not have one
guy come up to me and complain. I
still had guys thanking me when it was all over. I don't forget stuff
like that, and I will do something special to make up for this”.
Tiger also added, ”Many days I ask myself why I bought this
track, and today when I saw all of the dedication from everyone, it
really eased my mind knowing that I did this for people that really want
to race. And lets not forget the fans that came out today and stuck it
out to the end. You are true race fans”.
Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Releases 2010 Schedule Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design February 21, 2010 Putting together a
schedule for a race track is not an easy task at any level, and add that
to the fact of the track being under new ownership, and having to work
with other area tracks, and several of racing’s top touring series
organizers, putting it all together is like putting together a puzzle,
and ever piece has to fit perfectly for all that are involved. The 2010 schedule
for Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park is by far the biggest in the
history of the Lafargeville, New York racetrack.
Track General Manager Chip Burdick has worked months planning and
finalizing the details for all 29 events scheduled through the season,
as well as acquiring sponsorship for all of the races.
14 different classes of racecars will take to the track at some
point during the season, as World of Outlaw Late Models, 410 Sprints,
Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, Mid-state Vintage Stock Car Club,
DIRTcar Pro Stocks, and several Enduro races will all join the regular
weekly classes that will run at Can Am this season.
The 358 Modifieds will also be running their own separate
features during each of the 6 SUNY Canton Series events. Track owner Tiger
Chapman has lowered the weekly admission prices from $12 to $10 in 2010
as well, and on these $10 nights, military members will get in free. As in years past, Canadian money will be at par for ALL
events during the season. Chapman’s Can Am
Motorsports Park will open their doors for the 2010 season with a
practice session scheduled for Sunday April 11th.
All divisions will be invited to come and test and tune their
cars before the season kicks off the following weekend. The season opener
is slated for the following weekend, and will be doubleheader weekend of
action at the track. Saturday
night, the 358 Modified Super DIRTcar Series as well as the DIRTcar
Sportsman series will be on the card with the SUNY Canton Street Stocks,
and then the following day, the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stocks are on the
schedule with the SUNY Canton 358 Modified Series, Crate Late Models and
Mod Lites. The Month of May
will be highlighted by a Memorial Day Weekend Friday night special event
for the SUNY Canton 358 Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, and SUNY
Canton Street Stocks. They
will all be battling for extra cash as they battle for the SUNY Canton
championship in their respective divisions. In June, the most
anticipated event on the entire schedule is no doubt, the return of the
World of Outlaws Late Models, and local competitors Tim McCreadie and
Tim Fuller. They will
invade Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park on Tuesday night, June 15th,
and will be joined by the SUNY Canton Sportsman and Street Stocks. A rain date is reserved for the following night, if needed.
The following week will be fan appreciation night at the track,
with just $5 admission for the night. July will be a
great month for the Sprint Car racing fans, as it will kick off with the
biggest Sprint Car event in the history of both Chapman’s Can Am
Motorsports Park and the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints.
”It will be the
largest and most talked about two shows in the 27 year history of the
Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS)”, says Dean Reynolds, of the
Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint Series. That is not all for
Sprint Car fans, as Monday night, July 12th, Chapman’s Can
Am Motorsports Park will host the first ever visit for the 410 Sprints,
as the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Sprints will come to town for a
$5000 to win show. This
will surely bring out some of the best Sprint Cars from all over the
Northeastern United States, and Canada.
This event is part of the SUNY Canton Summer Sizzler event, which
will include double points events for the SUNY Canton 358 Modifieds,
paying $2000 to win and SUNY Canton Sportsman, paying $1500 to win. That is not all for
July as the annual Kevin Fleming Memorial night is also on the schedule
for July 9th. Admission for the Kevin Fleming Memorial will be just $6
– 6 in honor of Kevin Fleming’s car number.
Friday night July 16th will be closed for the Go Kart
Weekend event that is held at the track. As the summer heats
up heading into August, the open wheel modified divisions, Big Block,
358 Modifieds, and Sportsman will go topless…by removing the roofs of
the cars. This will happen
on August 13th, for the Tyler Mason Memorial night.
August will conclude with double points for all classes on August
27th. September will kick
off with another weekend doubleheader, and a return visit of the Lucas
Oil Empire Super Sprints on Friday night, September 3rd. It will also be the final night of DIRTcar Points, and a
champion will be crowned in the Modified, 358 Modified, and Sportsman
divisions. On Saturday
night, September 4th, the SUNY Canton Street Stocks and a
fireworks show will be highlighting the schedule with a $1000 to win
event for the Street Stocks, which will be followed up the following
weekend, Friday night September 10th with twin 25-lap, $1000
to win races for the SUNY Canton Street Stocks. The 2010 season
will conclude in the month of October, with the unofficial kick-off to
Super DIRT Week, on Wednesday night, October 6th for a 75
lap, $4000 to win Super DIRTcar Series race for the small block
Modifieds. The SUNY Canton
Street Stocks and Sportsman will also conclude their seasons as well.
The Sportsman race will pay $2000 to the winner, the highest
paying Sportsman race in the history of Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports
Park. They Street Stock
winner will receive $1000. Other notable
nights on this years schedule will the June 4th and August 6th.
Both nights will be King of the North Country Series events
against the cars from Brockville Ontario Speedway.
Each night will be followed up with a return visit to Paul
Kirkland’s Brockville Ontario Speedway. The Late Models
will also have a similar series with their Canadian counterparts from
the Rinaldi family owned Brighton Speedway, in Brighton, Ontario.
The Late Models will King of the North Country events at Can Am
on June 18th and July 30th, and followed up each
night with a round at Brighton. The SUNY Canton
Series for Sportsman and Street Stocks both have 8 races scheduled for
the 2010 season, while the SUNY Canton 358 Modified Series have 6 races
on the card for their inaugural season.
Finish Line Web Design will be offering up a free website for one
year to the winner of each Series, and a $100 bonus if an existing
Finish Line Web Design customer were to win the championship. “I have added a
SUNY Canton 358 Modified Series as they were nights that I
originally was not going to even run Modifieds and also SUNY Canton
wanted to do something with the 358's and thought it would be fun
to give the 358 Modified racers a chance to be in victory lane by
themselves and at the same time give the fans some extra Modified
racing”, says Chip Burdick. There are also 4
$1000 to win 40 lap Enduro races spread throughout the schedule.
Not only does each event pay $1000 to win, but also the winner
will be a guaranteed started for the 2nd Annual Hangover 100
Enduro on January 2, 2011.

Friday night’s A-Main will pay the winner $2,000 to win while Saturday’s 25 lap finale will pay an ESS record $4,000 to the winner. Not to mention $2,000 for second and $1,000 for third with an increased purse throughout. Last year over 30 sprints were expected to be on hand Friday before rain cancelled the event and on Saturday 38 filled the pit area. With the added money, the car counts will climb. The shows will be two separate full point shows for ESS which guarantees all the stars from the 360 sprint car organization. But, the response was awesome.” said Track Manager Chip Burdick. “We had so many campers and race teams stay the weekend. Even on Saturday where it rained right up to 530, we had a pit full of cars and a real nice crowd. I think we stumbled on to something here so we wanted to make a big splash.” “The Bearup family has been a big supporter of Can-Am for 20 years and we are pleased that they have taken the title sponsorship of not only the St. Lawrence weekend but all three ESS visits” Burdick continued. “Rt. 37 Building Supply’s name and logos are on many cars that race at Can-Am in all divisions showing their true dedication to the local racing community.” (Media note – Rt. 37 Building Supply is also a major sponsor on Jeff Cook’s #10 ESS sprinter) The Shootout Weekend will also be a big build up for the first ever appearance for the All-Star Circuit of Champions sprint circuit which will be on Monday, July 12th. Many of the ESS stars will be back to support this show. Fans are also reminded that ESS will be back on Friday Sept. 3rd of Labor Day Weekend for a return visit. More details will be coming in the very near future with fans encouraged to visit www.canammotorsports.com and www.empiresupersprints.com for the latest up to date information.

Can Am Motorsports Park Announces Series For Street Stocks and Sportsman Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design December
22, 2009 The Holiday season
is upon us, but that has not slowed us down, as track General Manager
Chip Burdick continues to work his magic behind the scenes to bring new
and exciting things to the track for the upcoming season. Chapman’s Can Am
Motorsports Park announced today that they have teamed up with the Paul
Kirkland and the Brockville Ontario Speedway for a four race series for
the Street Stocks and Sportsman divisions.
Each track will run two events for each class during the season. The four race series will kick off on Friday, June 4th
at Can Am, and then continue the next night across the border at the
Brockville Ontario Speedway on Saturday, June 5th. The series will conclude with another weekend doubleheader on
Friday, August 6th at Can Am Motorsports Park and then head
north to Brockville on Saturday August 7th. The Street Stocks
will run under home track rules, and each series will pay out over $1000
total purse for the top six competitors over the four race series. Some tracks don’t even offer that much for the Street
Stocks point fund over an entire season.
A big trophy will also be awarded to each series winner. The winner of the
Sportsman series will be a guaranteed starter for the $2000 to win
Sportsman event at Can Am Motorsports Park on October 7th as
well as the DIRTcar Fall Nationals Sportsman Series race at Brockville
on October 17th. It is not just the
drivers that will be big winners this season.
Fan involvement is top priority for both tracks this season, and
they have come up with a unique way to reward the race fans.
Each series night, fans will have the opportunity to win $200, by
correctly predicting the top five finishers from each night.
Fans will be able to keep their ticket stub, and will be able to
use it the following night and pay just $5 admission price. “Paul Kirkland came
to me last month and he wanted to do something different for the fans to
get them more involved”, says Can Am General Manager Chip
Burdick. “This will be a
great series for our Sportsman and Street Stock teams, and its something
that we can build on in the years to come.
Paul has ran the Brockville Speedway for nearly 15 years and has
done a great job promoting his track, and I look forward to working with
him this season.” The next event at
Can Am will be the ‘Hangover 100’ Enduro race and demolition derby
on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010.
Race time starts at 1:00 PM, and the rain date is scheduled for
the following day, Sunday January 3rd.
Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Hires Frank Fazio as Race Director Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design December
11, 2009 Change is in the
air at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park, as the track has announced
today that Frank Fazio will join the Can Am staff as Race Director for
both the racecars as well as the go-karts in 2010.
Fazio is no stranger to the business, as he as accumulated many
years worth of experience first as a young race fan, then as a
crewmember, and track employee. It all started at
the young age of 5 for Fazio, who traveled to Watertown Speedway with
his father every Saturday night. His
father worked on cars driven by Bob and Dick Ziegler.
“As a young boy, I always stood in the stands behind (track
flagman) Robbie Towns”, says Fazio.
“I had my own set of flags, and I would flag the race just as
Towns did”. Fazio attended both
Evans Mills Speedway as well as Can Am while he was growing up, and
eventually became a crewmember for Doug Cratsenburg, who raced at Evans
Mills. After he graduated
high school, he joined the Army, and was stationed near Hagerstown, MD,
home of the Hagerstown Speedway. Fazio
attended the track almost every week. While Fazio has
just been hired by Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park as Race Director,
he is certainly no stranger to either the track, or the new position. Fazio first became a track employee in 1996 under the regime
of Bob Thurston Jr. Fazio
applied for a job at the track and was given the position of working in
the infield pit area. In
1997 he became corner flagman, and he held that position for four
seasons, working at different spots around the track.
Fazio gave up the position before the start of the season in
2002. “In February of
2002 I had open heart surgery for a bad mitral valve in which they
repaired. My wife did not think it was a good idea for me to be dodging
race cars on pit road or turn four, so I gave up my position at Can
Am”, recalls Fazio. In
April, Fazio got a call from Adirondack International Speedway, where he
would go to work as a pit steward.
The following year, he was promoted as race director and would
oversee the weekly program, and deal with the drivers questions or
concerns on a weekly basis. In
2008, he was appointed General Manager of the track. As the door closed
at Adirondack for Fazio during the 2009 season, another one opened for
him, as he returned to the Can Am Motorsports Park last season to work
in the tech area. He fell
right into place with the job last season, and everyone at Can Am is
excited to have Fazio back at the track for the full season.
Chapman’s Can Am
Motorsports Park General Manager Chip Burdick is thrilled to have Fazio
on board for the upcoming season, knowing the experience that he brings
to the table, and the reputation that Fazio has amassed over the years
involved in racing will be great for all of the race teams at the track. “Frank deserves a
chance at doing this job as he is always the first one there on race
nights and the last one to leave”, says Burdick.
“I have never had a complaint from anyone ever about him and
have never had a problem with him as far as dealing with the
racers. Having Frank
helping us will be a huge asset to the racers and to myself, as he is
always there to make the right calls.” As each week
passes, it becomes clear that the Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park
will be the place to be on Friday evenings in 2010.
Lots of exciting news will be released in the coming weeks.
Can Am Announces DIRTcar Sanction for Late Model Division Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design December
11, 2009 There has been a
lot of talk around the racing forums as to what direction that
Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park will go in regards to the Late Model
Division. The Crate Late Model class had its inaugural season at Can Am
last season, and the popularity of the division has continued to grow as
race teams prepare for the upcoming season. The Crate Late
Model class will operate under the name of DIRTcar Pro Late Models for
the 2010 season. The
track would like to thank all of the drivers in this division for their
input and patience while track officials made their decision. “With the World
of Outlaws race being on the schedule in the 2010 season Chip and I
mutually agreed this would be best”, stated head tech inspector Lloyd
Larmon, referring to the discussions he has had the past few days with
Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park General Manage Chip Burdick. The World of
Outlaws Late Model race highlights the 2010 schedule, with a $10,000 to
win event that will be held on Tuesday, June 16th.
This event will be called the FX Caprara Car Companies 50, and
will certainly be the biggest in the history of Chapman’s Can Am
Motorsports Park. Local
World of Outlaws stars Tim McCreadie and Tim Fuller will be on hand
defending their home track against some of the greatest racers in the
country.

Rule Changes, Tech Inspection and Filling the Stands Highlight Can Am Meetings Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design December
7, 2009 It has only been
two weeks since Tiger Chapman has been named new owner of the Can Am
Motorsports Park, and the first official role as new owner was to host a
drivers meeting to discuss the 2010 season, rule changes and to discuss
ideas for the upcoming season. A
crowd of nearly 100 people filled the Best Western Carriage House Inn,
and members from all divisions were represented. Chapman, a very
successful businessman, is a true racer.
He has been involved in the sport for many years.
Before he became involved as a driver, he first became a fan.
Chapman emphasized several times throughout the day that he is
determined to put fans back in the stands.
Lower admissions prices, and lower concession prices are just
some of the things that the new Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park will
be doing to help bring fans back to the track on a regular basis.
General Admission for a regular program will now be reduced to
$10, as opposed to the $12 price in the past. “I didn’t buy
this track to make money”, says Chapman.
I bought this place so we would all have a place to play”, he
continues. Can Am
Motorsports Park General Manager Chip Burdick has come up with some
great ideas to get people in the stands, including handing out free
tickets to local non-profit organizations, who can sell them to raise
money for their cause. This
is an idea that became very popular amongst everyone in attendance.
Free tickets will also be offered weekly to members of the
Military, and their families. In the two weeks as
owner, Chapman has went to work on the facility immediately, with a new
pit shack already being put up, as well as a new roof on the concession
stand. The first topic of
discussion was to select members from all of the divisions raced at the
track that would like to act as a representative.
The representative would be the voice of their division, and
would bring fellow drivers up to date on everything that is happening
within their division. If a
fellow driver had a problem or complaint they would mention it to the
representative, who in turn, would bring it to the attention of the Can
Am management. Each
representative would be invited to attend monthly meetings, and any
ideas and concerns will be addressed during these meetings. All weekly
divisions at Can Am were discussed, with rules and rule changes being
the biggest topic of discussion in all classes.
Mr. Chapman went from class to class, brainstorming ideas that
would be best for everyone involved.
Chapman, also made it clear that these rules will be enforced,
and the track will have three crate motors available to swap, if they
deem it necessary in the crate motor divisions. “These rules are
in place to keep it fair for everyone.
The consequences for cheating will be severe, and if you are
caught, you can expect to be kicked out for the season”, says Chapman. Bowtie Speed Shop in Lafargeville has made their engine dyno
available for the track, and drivers and can teams can expect to have
their engines tested on any given night. One of the biggest
discussions of the afternoon came within the Modified division.
The topic of splitting the class into its own separate divisions
sparked a lot of debate amongst the drivers in attendance.
While no decision was made, Chip Burdick and Tiger Chapman stated
that car counts would play a role in deciding to split the two classes
up. The go-kart class
was also addressed, and the class will continue to run on Saturday
evenings in 2010. Many
details are yet to be determined in the go kart class, and once more
information is released, it will be available on the track website.
The track will open
its doors on Saturday, January 2, 2010 with the first annual “Hangover
100” Enduro race, as well as a demolition derby.
Weather permitting, the track will also host snowmobile drag
races in on January 30th and 31st, With JD Power Sports of Rochester sponsoring the
event. The 2010 schedule
will be released soon, and it will be highlighted once again by the
appearance of the World of Outlaw Late Models.
The season will kick off on Saturday, April 17th with
a Mr. DIRTcar series event for both the Small Block Modifieds and
Sportsman. The Sprint
cars will have three appearances in 2010, including a July 4th
Independence Day celebration, and a Labor Day weekend event.
New Ownership
Brings Enthusiasm to Can Am Motorsports Park Craig
Revelle – Finish Line Web Design November
25, 2009 Just
days after announcing his plans to purchase Can-Am Motorsports Park from
the Caprara family, new owner Tiger Chapman, a businessman from the
Rochester, New York area has made it clear that 2010 will be a great
season at the track. Consistent rules, lower concession prices and an
emphasis on filling the stands on a weekly basis are just a few items
that Chapman will look to address as the new season approaches. “We
had talked about this deal for a while now with the Caprara family,”
Chapman said. “The track was almost sold last year to another buyer,
but it fell through. When the opportunity came up again, we just decided
to go for it.” Chapman
is a racer at heart, competing for many seasons, most recently in the
Street Stock division at Can-Am in 2009. Chapman brings a lot of
enthusiasm and great ideas to a track that has struggled in recent years
with getting fans to come out in support. Chapman has many ideas in
efforts to bring more fans in weekly, ones he plans to implement very
early in his reign as track owner. “I
started going to the track at a very early age, following our local
drivers at the Evans Mills Speedway,” recalled Chapman, who has now
been involved in racing for nearly 25 years. “At age 17 I raced my
first event and have been hooked ever since.” The
first change that was announced came at the annual Can-Am Motorsports
Park awards banquet on Nov. 21 at the Bonnie Castle Resort in Alexandria
Bay. Just after being announced as track owner, Chapman asked those in
the crowd if they would be interested in a 100-lap endurance race, to
which there was a large applause supporting the event. January
2, 2010 will be the first event under the new ownership. A demolition
derby has also been added to the Saturday show and snowmobile races may
be scheduled during the winter months, weather permitting. The endurance
race, ‘Hangover 100’ will pay out $600 to the winner of the event,
$300 for second and $100 for third. The Demolition Derby winner stands
to collect $500. The rain date will be Sunday, January 3. “We’ll
still be running under the DIRTcar sanction, with all our divisions
finalized over the next couple weeks,” remarked Can-Am General Manager
Chip Burdick, who will continue to work hard over the off-season to
secure sponsorship for the upcoming season. “We’re already looking
forward to our first points event, the season-opener on April 17. Its
sure to generate a lot of excitement with a Mr. DIRTcar Championship
Series doubleheader for 358-Modifieds and Sportsman topping the card.”
