GO KART RACING
March 5, 2010 All kart competitors After much consideration and research with the tire subject regarding the kart program at Can Am I have decided to implement a tire rule. The mandatory tire will be BURRIS brand only. There will be NO mandatory tire with the 820 Division. Some kart teams indicated they did not have a preference but would like a tire rule regarding special events. The negative side to this idea would be that our regular competitors that did not run Burris brand tires weekly would be forced to purchase Burris brand tires to be used only in the special events, which I did not feel practical. Most area kart tracks are Burris only. With all this being said, along with fact Burris is offering an incentive which would be beneficial to Can Am kart teams assisted with my decision.
