Rules and
Requirements for the Races
1) No drinking alcohol during any drag event. Racers or the work staff....Only after all drag events is done for the day. Period. If a racer or staff member is caught drinking during the event disciplinary action will result against the violator(s).
2) All racers must have a DOT approved helmet, with eye
protection.(shield, or goggles,) also racers must have some type of
boot.(riding, or work boot).Must have jeans (no shorts) and long sleeve tops.
No tank tops.
3) All racers racing in any class above the bolt-on class must have a
tether switch....or they will not be allowed to race....
4) All racers running in the pro-mod class and the open class it will
be mandatory to wear some type of chest protector... (.tech vest,) or something
that is approved by Chapman’s Can Am Motor Sports Officials...
5) Studs will only be allowed in the studded classes and that’s it. They must be push through or at least a 1 inch screw in and will be checked at pre-tech. You are also required to have fenders covering at least half of your tires and have heal guards.
6) All final decisions are made by Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Officials...
7) Racers once you have two losses in the class you are racing in...You are all done for that class...After one false start they will count as losses. Subject to change to single elimination depending on the number of entries.
8) A machine breaks down If a machine encounters mechanical problems in the lineup area, a 5 minute repair time allowance will be offered- if the needed repairs cannot be done in the allowed time this will count as a loss...A racer cannot replace the machine with another one for that class.
9) Horseplay will not be tolerated....all racers must stay in first gear when going from pits to staging area....absolutely no speed testing in any area other than the designated track…. if you are caught speeding in any area other than the designated track, disciplinary action will be result.
10) Any rule, procedure, or condition not expressly address will be the direct decision of the Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Officials and will be final.
11) Official’s decisions concerning, but not limited to, disqualification, penalties, will be final.
12) Any penalties assess will be the exclusive decision of. Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park
13) Safety inspections will be conducted, but this inspection does not deem a machine safe and free from defects and in no way offers any assurance that no problems exist. It is the obligation of the driver, owner, crew, to maintain the safety characteristics of the driver, machine and components.
14) Passing any pre-race inspection does not guarantee post-race legality.
15) Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Officials will determine the number of events to complete any program and maintain the authority to alter any and all, but not limited to, rules, divisions, and operating procedures, in any given event.
16) All drivers are required to attend driver meeting. Any driver 15 years old or under must be accompanied by a delegated adult.
17) Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Officials may disallow any driver and or machine they feel is inappropriate for competition.
18) At any time a discrepancy arises regarding any part/component or entire machine being allowed will be the absolute decision of Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Officials.
19) Any driver or machine change from original signed in status must be brought to the attention of track officials.
20) Driver and machine must be registered in at least one event before being allowed on the track.
21) Any machine is subject to an inspection upon demand by tech at any time, any position.
22) Driver/machine only is allowed in the staging area. Any repairs/adjustments, regardless of how minor they may be must be performed in pit area. The staging area is off limits to everyone but the driver and their machine. Driver must remain with their own machine.
23) Verbal or physical action directed toward officials or
other racers will not be tolerated.
24) Parent or guardian of a minor is responsible for their safety, control, and actions.
25) In the event that any machine and or driver has been competing with a rule infraction in the past, regardless of the infraction or the length of time will have no involvement with the tech decision if found not in compliance with the rules per tech.
26)
Protesters can only protest the top two bikes in your class and will cost $100
up front. If you are correct you will get your money back and if not the other
person will get the money. The tech procedure will be the decision of Chapman’s
Can Am Motorsports Park officials. Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park officials
will implement the final decision regarding whether or not there is rule
infraction.
Chapman’s
Can Am Motorsports Park officials reserve the right to tech any machine anytime
any position.
Failure
to comply with a protest or track tech will be dealt with individually.
SAFETY
NOTE: All rules regarding safety are with the intentions to assist in the
defense of injury and in no way offer any assurance of absolute protection. It
is the responsibility of driver, crew member(s), owner(s) and or anyone in the
presents of hazardous conditions to maintain their personal safety.
RULES FOR EACH CLASS
Kid’s class: trophies’ classes only
Kid’s classes age requirements
Class #1 up to including 6 yrs old
Class #2 - #8 5-11 yrs old
Participants 12 years and older can and
should compete in the adult (non-kids) divisions, including modified.
STOCK CLASS: You must have a stock ATV. With stock
exhaust, stock air box. You must have the baffles in the pipe. Also must have
an air box lid......No cams, No porting....No EFI fuel adjustments......And
must run on pump gas up to 93 octane......You can run different
tires...pro-wedges,4snows (no paddles) No wheelie bars
Bolt on CLASS/ Trail class: All machines
must have Stock Frame, Swing Arm, and A-Arms. Suspension must be Stock or
equivalent MX Style Shocks (no shorter shocks from other models or struts). The
only allowable modifications are Aftermarket Air Filters and/or No Air Box
Cover, In-Frame Exhaust with Silencer, and EFI Fuel Adjuster, and Gearing. Must
run on pump gas, 93 Octane Max. (No Race Gas or Oxygenated Fuels) No Wheelie
bars. NO INTERNAL MOTOR WORK!!! (Examples, no aftermarket cam, no stroker
cranks, and no aftermarket cylinders or big bore kits, No shift aids, no
porting, no boring ;) The top 2 will be subject to
extensive teching before payout. Can have lowering kit. (2 strokes can run aftermarket head).
MOD CLASS: You can run lightened frames or aftermarket frames you can run aftermarket exhaust...you can be ported. No shift aids, aftermarket cylinders are allowed,
you can run EFI fuel adjuster, any length swing arm. You can run a wheelie bar. You are allowed to run any octane race gas. Or Alky, no Nos.
PRO-MOD CLASS: You can run aftermarket frames, aftermarket cylinders, ported, open drag pipes, Shift aids, Wheelie bars, any length swing arms, and allowed to run any octane race gas or alky, no Nos.
OPEN CLASS: Run what you brung.....Allowed to run any octane race fuel, alky, and nos. anything goes as long as it approved safe enough to race by the CAN AM OFFICIALS...Can have studs
Run what u brung wheelers only: Anything goes as long as it is still considered to be a wheeler by Can-Am tech officials. Must have working tether and chest protector or tech vest and meet helmet specs. Can have studs.

Kid’s class: trophies’ classes only
