358 MINIMUM WEIGHT RULES WHEN COMBINED WITH BIG BLOCK EVENTS

In an effort to render the 358 division cars to be more aggressive when challenging the Big Block division cars within the same regular weekly events the following minimum weights will be in effect until further notice.

These minimum weight variations from the current official DIRT 358 Division rules may NOT be allowed at any track other than Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park.

These weight breaks will only be allowed when the 358 and Big Block divisions are competing in the same event. Notably anytime the event is an EXCLUSIVE 358 division event (per track scheduling) the current DIRT 358 division rules must be maintained.

These weight breaks will NOT be legal with SUNY CANTON SERIES or DIRT SERIES events.

Only the minimum weight distinctions listed in these 358 Division Exclusive to Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park rules will be allowed to vary from the current official DIRT 358 Division rules.

Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park officials reserve the authority to ADJUST these minimum weights with advance notice at any time.

Minimum Weights:

A.) The minimum overall weight will be 2,350 lbs for cars competing with the Brodix “Spec” heads, ported intake manifold and “tri-y” header(s).

B.) The minimum weight will be 2,300 lbs for cars competing with the Brodix “Spec” heads, and unaltered stock intake manifold, Schoenfeld Headers and aluminum oil pan.

C.) The minimum weight will be 2500 lbs for cars competing with non aluminum head engines and must compete only for Can Am BIG BLOCK points and purse when implementing the 2500 lb weight minimum. If competing for Can Am and or Dirt 358 points and purse - must comply entirely with the current DIRT 358 iron head rules.

All three minimum weight figures may be adjusted with advance notice at anytime.
